Update: 2024.10.16
With the arrival of autumn, Kaiko-en, the jewel of Komoro, will be dressed in the vivid colors of autumn leaves. Experience the breathtaking beauty of Komoro City, only two hours away from Tokyo, Chiba, and Saitama.
From late October to mid-November, Kaiko-en Garden is enveloped in the colors of autumn. Maples, ginkgo, zelkova, and other trees turn red, yellow, and orange, creating a stunning contrast with the moss-covered stone walls that have been in place for over 400 years. In particular, the autumn leaves around "Momijigaoka" are a must-see, and the scenery looks like a painting.
The Komoro Joshi Kaiko-en Autumn Foliage Festival will be held again this year from October 19 to November 17.
Various events are scheduled during the period, such as a grass flute class and sightseeing guide, to make your autumn foliage viewing experience even more enjoyable.
The highlight of this year's event is the lighting up at night.
Visitors can enjoy the fantastic night view of the autumn leaves, which is different from that of the daytime. The area around Momijigaoka is beautifully illuminated, creating a fascinating view that differs from that of the daytime.
Kaiko-en offers not only autumn foliage, but also a full range of facilities for the whole family to enjoy all day long.
A children's playground and a zoo (partially closed) are available for those with children.
