Accommodations

  • QWhat are the check-in and check-out times?

    Check-in time is 14:00 and check-out time is 11:00. If your check-in time is after 6:00 p.m., please let us know in advance. If you do not notify us in advance and check-in time is after 6:30 p.m., we may assume that your reservation has been cancelled.

  • Q Can I have my luggage checked in? (before check-in and after check-out)

    Yes, the front desk will take care of your belongings. (Please bring your own cash and valuables).

  • Q Can I cancel a reservation after it has been made? Is there a cancellation fee?

    In case of cancellation of your stay, cancellation fee will be charged as follows
    Cancellation up to 8 days prior to your stay: No cancellation fee will be charged.
    7 days prior to the stay: 20% of the room charge
    3 days prior to the stay: 70% of the room charge
    Cancellation on the day of stay or no-show: 100% of the room charge
    If you are unable to contact us due to the hotel being closed or other reasons, please call our answering machine or use the inquiry form to inform us of your name, date of stay, and cancellation details, and we will use the date recorded as the date of cancellation.

  • Q Is there a free drink inside the guest room?

    You may freely drink beverages (hot spring water and water) in the refrigerator provided in your room. Please note that additional drinks will be charged separately.

  • Q Is the bath a hot spring?

    Yes, the spring water is free-flowing.

  • Q Is the bath in the room a hot spring?

    Heiseikan Japanese/Western style rooms are equipped with a unit bath type indoor hot spring. Hot water is drawn from a hot spring.

  • Q Is there an Internet connection?

    Free WiFi is available throughout the hotel.

  • Q Is there a toilet in the room?

    Rooms in the Heiseikan are equipped with a toilet and washbasin, while rooms in the Taishokan do not have a toilet and washbasin, so they are shared.

  • Q Is there a smoking area?

    Smoking is completely prohibited in this facility.

About Meals

  • Q What are the meal times?

    Dinner is served between 18:00 and 19:00 with meals starting in 10-minute increments.
    Breakfast is served at 7:30 8:00 with meals starting at 8:30.

  • QI have a food allergy. Can you accommodate me?

    We will do our best to accommodate your request so that you can enjoy your meal. Please let us know in advance.

  • Q Do you have vegetarian or vegan dishes?

    If you require vegetarian or vegan food for both lunch and dinner, we will be happy to arrange for you to dine at the onsite restaurant, Harikoshi-tei. Please let us know when you make your reservation.

    Free parking is available on site.
    Bicycle parking for motorcycles is also available.

  • QHow long does it take to get to Nakadanasou from the nearest station?

    It takes about 20 minutes by foot or 5 minutes by car from the nearest station, Komoro Station.

  • Q How long does it take to get from Nakadanasou to Karuizawa?

    A rough estimate is 30-40 minutes by car. Depending on the season, such as summer, it may take more than 1 hour.
