Update: 2024.09.24
Nakadana Onsen Nakadana-so, where the great writer Toson Shimazaki was healed, will start "First Love Apple Bath" on October 1 this year, in which apples are floated in the bath.
The motif of the apple bath is based on Shimazaki Toson's "First Love," in which a boy meets a girl with freshly brushed bangs in an apple field and begins to fall in love.
The "First Love Apple Bath" was started in 1989 to remind people of their first love with the aroma of apples, comparing the boyish excitement and slightly sweet and sour aroma of "first love" to the sweet and sour taste of apples.
Last year, a total of approximately 24,200 apples were floated in the baths during the period from October to May.
The use of the apple baths can be enjoyed by both overnight guests and day-trip visitors.
